THE CITY OF WINE
The City of Wine is located in Elciego, among medieval towns, where the winemaking tradition, nature, the exquisite cuisine and the splendid views perfectly complement each other to stimulate your senses.
MARQUÉS DE RISCAL WINERY
The expansive vineyard, dates back to 1858, making Marqués de Riscal the oldest winery in the region. Guests can learn more about wine-making on one of the daily tours of the vineyard’s state-of-the-art facilities. The fascinating journey from grapevine to bottle unfolds as visitors make their way from fermenting rooms to aging rooms stacked high with oak barrels to the enormous cellar housing eight million bottles of wine. A veritable viticulture ‘cathedral’, the cellar contains vintages dating back to 1862.
The hotel is set in an area of great natural beauty, and exploring its surroundings is easy on one of the hotel’s complimentary bicycles. Follow winding pathways through the vines, past ancient stone chapels and along the Ebro River, pausing at vantage points to relish the stunning panorama. To make your excursion complete, request a delicious picnic hamper and bottle of Marqués de Riscal wine to enjoy en-route when hunger strikes.

CHURCH OF SANT ANDRES
Magnificent church built in stone in the sixteenth century. In the same building you can see different architectural styles, from Gothic to Neoclassical, through the Renaissance.
CHURCH OF SANTA MARÍA DE LOS REYES
Located in the North of Laguardia, its construction began at the end of the 12th century in Romanesque style. However, the sanctuary was finished in the 15th century, which due to the restorations made from then on, explains its Gothic, Renaissance and even Baroque features.
